October is just around the corner and that means a packed schedule. We’re getting ready for it too. Art Mart, Hub City Empty Bowls project, The Ballet and Esteban’s Dan Synergy Dos, the Halloween Party...those are just our big weekend events! A new stage is under construction in the Showroom as I type so when you come see Seth Walker play in a few weeks, in all of his awesomeness, you’ll notice that he’s just a bit higher up than he was the last time he played here. Anyway, I’d like to dedicate this post to the HUB-BUB AiRs, the volunteers, the staff and every other workhorse who makes things tick around here. That little doggie on his back just lets you know how much fun we have.
So…this week is the calm before the storm. Claudia is taking the midnight train to DC for a week. Esteban is working on the set for the ballet. He heads to Greensboro on Thursday to meet up with a professor from Providence who will be there. Gregory is working for COLORS and running Sunday’s figure drawing session again this week. Jameelah is working on the young writers collective and helping out with some other Hub City Writers Project projects. Shout out to Whit for his cross country flight from Kansas to SC. Jameelah and Gregory are free to eat all day as Ramadan has ended.
Life is good.
