a day makes. The AIRs
were on serious maintenance duty last week.
Their time spent cleaning up the warehouse and painting furniture in the
office is much appreciated. Check this
photo of the warehouse out! Had you seen
it before clean-up?!?!?! It looked like
someone had taken the contents of the Salvation Army, tossed them in the dryer for
a few hours and then dumped them into that building. Now I feel like I should remove my shoes
before walking in. They did a knock-out-bang-up
job in the office too. Their mission was
to "paint the bookshelf that Eric made, install glass shelving and create attractive
display center for HCWP book sales."
Check. Done and done! Thank you AIRs for all of your hard work and all
of your positive energy.
I would say the quote of the week came from Jonas during a
HUB-BUB presentation to Spartanburg's
Rotary Club last Wednesday. It went
something like this: "my Grandfather was in Rotary in Texas. (Exaggerated pause)
He would be proud to see me up here today." (Followed by applause and cheers) Amen Jonas.
The AIRs and I really enjoyed speaking at Rotary last week. It was a good chance to talk about what goes
on at HUB-BUB and how the AIR Program works.
The Rotarians were great hosts and hostesses, fed us a delicious meal,
and invited us to come back. Careful...we
might start showing up every Tuesday. This
week is a busy one with art/writing projects happening in every corner. Exciting stuff. Check the update next week and don't forget
to come to The Showroom to watch a cool movie for free on Thursday at 7:30. Or to hear some great live music on Friday
night. We'll see you soon.
