WOW. That’s all I can say. The Grain District Block Party on Saturday was amazing! Thanks to the 30+ artists who set up tables and sold their work; the non-profits who came out to talk abut their organizations; Cakehead, the fig bakery, and Little River who sold delicious local goodies; the many musicians who kept us entertained; Greg and Esteban for painting the billboard banners, and the graffiti artists who have given us a sweet wall! The weather was fantastic and the mood was joyful. Let’s do it again next year!

Jameelah is still away in Kansas defending her thesis. She was at AWP in Denver over the weekend – the report was good. Esteban is off to Provincetown on Thursday morning. Good luck EdV! Claudia and Greg will be here all week – they’re giving an Art Talk on Thursday night…be there if you can! They’ll be talking about the work they’ve made since coming to Sparkle City. Join them on Saturday at Hollywild for a little plein air painting. If the weather is anything like last weekend you will not want to miss it!
