Truckin' Along

This past weekend was a good one at The Showroom.  Friday night we all enjoyed Stephanie's Id, a very talented and energetic band from Asheville.  They were so good that I bought both cd's, covered my car in Stephanie's Id pink band stickers, voted for them (twice) to win some band competition, and almost bought a bright yellow Stephanie's Id tank top.  Thank goodness visions of my Excel budget popped in my head or I'd be drinking tap water and eating peanut butter tortillas all week.  Saturday night was another amazing show with our very favorites; The Bellville Outfit.  Check out the crowd!  The AIRs (and half of Spartanburg) showed up for this one.  What a treat!  Aside from that, our AIRS have been truckin' along...

Rachel presented to Spartan High last Friday on "The Secret Life of Bees".  She was a part of a big literary day over there and enjoyed an opportunity to interact with Spartanburg's youth.  I hate to brag on her but I hear she was a big hit.  Arielle is dedicated to her apocalyptic anagram sketchbook, educating the general public on R. Kelly's Trapped and starting a writing project of sorts.  Nicholas has just acquired 3 sweet bikes for an art project...THANK YOU PARTNERSHIP FOR ACTIVE LIVING.  Can't wait to see what he does with these guys.  And Derya is knitting, knitting, and KNITTING.  Check out the calender for her upcoming knitting events and more "Potluck and Fun" weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

See you next week...
