Thank you Duane!

Thank you Duane! A little late this week with the weekly update…sorry folks…I don’t have a good excuse. Had planned to encourage everyone to come out to Duane Slick’s Art Talk which took place last night; instead I will just tell you about it. Duane is a RISD professor and mentor of both Esteban and Jonas. It was great to have him here to talk about his work and his influences. Rumor has it that he may be visiting the Boys and Girls Club with Jonas on Friday to do a sand story. Thanks Duane for visiting and we hope you’ll come back!

In other AiR news…Claudia and Greg continue to work on Carnival. They’ve been collaborating with Denise Frazier and some of the other profs over at Wofford. The big event will be on February 18th at Wofford first with an after party at HUB-BUB. Denise will be teaching weekly samba classes at HUB-BUB leading up to the event - the first one is next week. Come on out! Esteban continues to work on his silent film. Looking forward to the premier in The Showroom soon. Jameelah is helping out with the novel prize for Hub City. Exciting stuff happening with Hub City and downtown and man oh man it is good to be a Hubbubbler.

That’s it for now – stay cool!
