Thanks to Arielle for taking the bull by the horns and getting the HUB-BUB
College Street Team movin'. She had 10 or so students in here on Monday
night for a pizza party information sesh. Unfortunately I didn't have
my camera to document the event but I found this image to give you an
idea of how much fun they had. Arielle will be hosting another pizza
party Street Team session this Thursday night. Get in touch with her
if you're interested. We've actually got a lot going on at HUB-BUB for
college students right now. The AIRs are curating a Collegiate Art Exhibition
that will open in mid-February and present works representing each local
college. On Tuesday; Arielle, Derya and Nicholas all headed out to Spartanburg
Methodist to look at work by three talented young artists who may be
represented in that show. They'll head to SCC, Converse, Wofford and
USC Upstate next week. Stay tuned...
In other news...Arielle is
working on her glass paintings and getting psyched for the new sign
with the removal letters that HUB-BUB will soon be acquiring. Derya
= grad school applications. If you ask her how she's doing, make sure
to reply "cool" to whatever she responds. Her Open Knit session
on Tuesday was epic by the way. Nicholas is finishing up some grad school
and residency applications as well. He's also venturing into the Converse
print studio to get some work done. Thank you Converse. Rachel just
returned from a few days in Michigan and seems inpirationally inspired.
All is well with these guys. AIR applications for next year's crew are
trickling in. I'll keep you posted.
Stop by The Showroom this Friday
night. It's gonna be a great show with Brandy Lindsey and the Punch
opening up for Warm in the Wake.
See ya when I see ya...
