Thank you Arielle for hosting such a wonderful
Seder on Sunday night. This was the first one that I have ever been
to and all I can say is that the food was amazing, everyone had a great
time, and we all learned a lot. It was really a nice way to celebrate
with friends. There has been a lot of celebrating lately. Earth Day
activities on Saturday were outrageous! We spent the day at Hatcher
Garden for their annual event. It was really nice to be outside with
a bunch of other community minded folks. They even had a pet llama!
Saturday night was the Trashion Show and live music by the Antibodies.
Check out photos on the HUB-BUB flickr site. There were some amazing
outfits including a coat of armor made from pop tops, a funny paper
sport coat, fork barretts and a mason jar top necklace...
In other news....the AIRs are
working but trying to take advantage of their final days in the burg.
Arielle is involved with College Street Team stuff and will meet with
the Presidents of area colleges next week about many of the projects
that she's been focused on during her time here. Next Wednesday is the
swing dance lesson that she organized. Derya hosted a final Open Knit
last night. We all made gigantic (and tini) pom-poms for an outdoor
installation she and Nicholas are putting up on Friday. Nicholas is
helping out with the installation and building crates for his works
on paper. Rachel is finishing up interviews and making pom-poms. Everybody
is packing and cleaning and spending time together. Tonight they're
going camping for some AIR bonding in the woods. I can't believe how
fast time flies. We're all gonna miss these folks. It's been a great
year...
