Thank you Brad and Sara for hosting an amazing AiR beach getaway. The weekend was awesome. I definitely got a good fill of sun, sand, sunrises, sleep, ice cream, enchiladas, wine drinking, dolphin sightings, body-surfing, reading, relaxing, AND I think we solved a few mysteries of the universe. A very good weekend indeed. On the way home, we made a quick stop at Pearl Fryar’s topiary garden for a pic-nic lunch. Pearl himself was there giving an inspirational mini-tour of the garden which we happily joined. And onto this week…

Lots of stuff going on here. Claudia will spend her third week at SOAR Academy. Esteban is searching for new walls to paint on. Do you have one downtown that he can use?! Greg is heading to Boiling Springs today to work with the COLORS Program. Jameelah is working with her young writers group and venturing out to Spartan High on Friday for a book fair. They’re all making new work which you can see on August 20th during their first gallery talk and open studio tour. The gallery talk will take place between 6-7pm in the Showroom. The studio tour will follow until 9pm. Be there or be square.
