Thank you Ian Thomas! We were fortunate to have Ian fly down to Spartanburg from Pennsylvania last Thursday. He had collaborated with an artist in Texas to come up with a design for the mural that was painted during the May 2nd/3rd workshop at the Y. The project was a collaboration between HUB-BUB and the Spartanburg YMCA to brighten up a racquetball court that is used for afterschool programming. We had a small but hardworking group who spent all day Saturday and most of Sunday painting – using various techniques – to cover this humongous wall. Where there was a big white wall, is now a really cool piece of art to inspire school kids daily. Thank you Ian!

Ian is in Spartanburg until Tuesday. Patrick is around this week too. Patrick introduced us to Ian – they went to Texas Tech together. Hopefully the two have been having fun – Spartanburg style (Spring Fling, skate deck opening in The Showroom, criterion…etc.) Sarah is cleaning her apartment as we speak and taking off tonight…sigh. Soon this place will seem empty as our friends are moving on. We know they will back…
