Introducing...

Introducing...
a new website!  And, it's here just in time to introduce our new 2008/09 Artists-in-Residence!  This is an exciting week for us at Hub-Bub.  It's feels like the first day of school, "the beginning of a beautiful friendship"...like the stork is delivering four fresh little bundles of creative joy to the steps of 149 S. Daniel Morgan Ave.  Maybe now I can stop humming the lyrics to the Pointer Sisters' hit..."Im so excited...and I just can't hide...I'm about to lose control and I think I like it (no, no, no, no)", maybe now I can stop having nightmares about Waiting for Godot, maybe now I can stop pacing the HUB-BUB parking lot.  It is good for me that they will be here so soon.  So...without further ado...AIR 2008/09!...

As you can read from their profiles; Jonas, Ellie, Patrick and Sarah are all coming to us from interesting places and with great vision for their 11 month stay in Sparkle City.  The building is bustling with a refreshed energy as everyone is excited about the year ahead.  One of the major benefits of HUB-BUB's residency program is that four unique and energetic young people arrive on our doorstep in early June ready to make stuff and ready to make stuff happen.  I can't be much more specific than that but I can say that in the upcoming months you can expect to see some fabulous new art and writing, AIR influence in The Showroom and at HUB-BUB events, and different HUB-BUB stuff out in the Spartanburg community.  So...come by and meet Jonas, Ellie, Patrick and Sarah.  They'll be posting all things Spartanburg and Hub-related to their blogs soon.

See ya when I do!
