Ice, Ice Baby

Ice, Ice Baby You may have spent your weekend on one of these – the wonderful metal trash can lid and the sled of choice for many Spartanburgers. Our neighbors just 45 minutes north in Saluda enjoyed over 6 inches of beautiful fluffy powder beginning on Friday night. My brother sent me a text on Saturday that read: Help!!! Down to just one roll of tp. Poor guy. When I went to the grocery on Friday night – many items were cleared out. In Spartanburg we may not know how to drive in it, but we do know how to prepare for winter weather. Our little friend in Pennsylvania reportedly saw his shadow too so I’m keeping my metal trash can lid out where I can reach it fast over the next 6 weeks.

So AiR applications are starting to roll in. The February 15th deadline will be here before we know it so get yours in if you’re working on it! Our AiRs have been busy here as usual. Greg and Claudia are working really hard with Denise over at Wofford to make masks, a dragon, and other exciting stuff for Carnival. That event will be at Wofford on February 18th and then over here in The Showroom too. Denise will be teaching samba classes in The Showroom – starting tonight. Check the schedule. Esteban is tweeking his silent film. Looking forward to the premiere – sometime in February or early March. Jameelah continues to help with the novel prize. Upcoming high school visits on her calendar as well. That’s it for us. Come on out and samba tonight. Live music in the Showroom on Saturday.

Stay warm. And dry.
