Have you ever seen those "freezes" on Youtube? It's where a group of people get together in a
crowded place (ie: Time Square) and all set their phone alarms for a certain
time. When the alarm goes off they all
freeze until the alarm goes off again, at which point they go back to what they
were doing before.It's pretty
crazy. When I tried to find a picture on
google of a freeze...this guy popped up.And while he in no way represents the kind of freeze I'm talking about...I
thought he did a damn fine job of representing whatever kind of freeze he's
talking about.Well anyway...Sarah and
Ellie hosted a freeze of their own this past weekend at the International
Festival in downtown Spartanburg. They recruited about 25 friends and
new-friends to take part in a 3 minute motionless theatrical performance. It was a lot of fun and I bet it will happen
again.E-mail one of them if you'd like
to be involved in the future...
In other news...lots going on at the HUB-BUB building.Jonas is in the process of tracking down a
really rad projector for HUB-BUB.Thank
you Patrick Whitfill Fund.Speaking of
Patrick...he's been busy teaching, having student meetings, eating in the Wofford
Faculty Dining Hall...that sorta thing.Jonas
and Ellie are working with the COLORS kids - stay tuned for an exhibition of
their work in late November.Sarah is
putting up tipis and organizing Woo Hoo Wednesday's.Lots and lots going on...I can hardly keep
up!
