As they say – everything comes full circle. Each year for the past three years I’ve been giving our AiRs time to keep a regular blog and now…I’ll be keeping one too. To celebrat e the last 50 years of the arts, Americans for the Arts has collected Green Papers from a variety of national arts service organizations representing more than 20 different perspectives and disciplines. These Green Papers are short, easy to read, visions of the future meant to inspire a nationwide dialogue on the future of the arts. For the next year, I’ll be responding to the Green Paper that was submitted by the Alliance of Artists Communities. Hope you will chime in and help push the dialogue forward: http://blog.artsusa.org/category/artists-residency-programs/
A quick thank you to Floride and all the ladies (and gents) who hosted the AiRs last night to a delicious dinner! It was a great opportunity for the residents to talk about their work to a very excited and fun group of folks. Additionally, there was a Liz Blanchard cake for dessert. It doesn’t get much better than that! Grab your calendars and a pen – open them up to March and mark down the 17th and 24th. Esteban’s film premiere is NEXT Wednesday. Hard to believe it but the AiR Exit Show is the following Wednesday. Whew. Thank you Claudia, Esteban, Greg, and Jameelah – you are rock stars!
See you soon!
