Because of this little booger... |

...I
may commit to true vegetarianism. It's been a rough week for me. I've
suffered from food poisoning twice in my life. The first time, I was
camping in a small tent on an Indian reservation in South Dakota with
20 other people (they all had their own tents). We all got sick at the
same time and shared just 2 bathrooms. It was one of the most miserable
experiences of my life but pretty hilarious in retrospect. Monday's
experience was much more private (thank goodness) and with a full recovery
by Wednesday morning...whew. Despite that little hiccup in the week,
we haven't skipped a beat around here. HUB-BUB received about 100 applications
for the AiR program 2008/09. I looked at all of the applications from
visual artists last week and have narrowed the applicant pool down to
26! We've got a committee of folks to help with the rest of the selection
process which starts Thursday night. Very, very exciting. Again...stay
tuned...
Folks are busy around here.
Thanks to Rachel and Nicholas for speaking during the Leadership Spartanburg
Luncheon today. It was nice to hear them talk about the value of their
experience in Spartanburg and in the Residency Program. Its hard to
believe everything that has happened since last June and will happen
before May! They've got their exit show on the horizon and an Earth
Day project in the works. There are more knitting circles, figure drawing
classes, College Street Team gettogethers, and HCWP book stuff still
to go! Thanks AiRs for all your hard work. Keep checkin' their blogs.
We'll see you next week...
