Last week's Entry Show was awesome! Thanks AIRs for all of your hard work. Entry Shows in the past have exhibited work
that residents used when applying to the program. This year's show consisted of a mix of some older
work but a good bit of brand new work too.
Thanks to everyone who came out to show your support. Like I said in the blog, there were lots of
folks here of all ages and everybody seemed to have a real nice time. And...another thank you to everyone in the
community who donated fabric, lumber, paint, soil, television monitors and all
of the other obscure things that we needed to pull this thing off. I'm sure we'll be calling again soon...
The AIRs are getting a little downtime since the show but...not
really. Saturday they headed out to
Carolina Alliance to take part in some sidewalk chalk drawing with kids to
celebrate the bank's opening. This week
they're diving into personal art/writing projects and also starting to think
about community art projects. They have
some big ideas so stay tuned. We'll be
out at Andrew Blanchard's Art Opening on Thursday at the Chapman Cultural
Center...you should be
too! It starts at 6pm. We're taking Friday off for the 4th
and heading up to Saluda to celebrate the Coon
Dog on Saturday. Yeehaw.
See ya soon...Alix
