susan_arin_train_LargeStill Well...Arielle, Derya, Nicholas and Rachel took off on Sunday.  They left Hub-Bub mid-week last week and headed up to Elsewhere in Greensboro where they did a short residency and took part in a Clothesline Project.  Thanks Stephanie and George and everyone at Elsewhere for hosting them.  I heard it was an unforgettable experience.  The building seems pretty empty with those guys being gone.  We will miss them after a great year at the Hub.  Lots going on still.  The Art Mart and good Junk Sale is coming up on Saturday from 10-2pm.  On Monday, we've got a small film crew from Brooklyn moving into the AiR apartments for a temporary residency.  Arin Crumley and Susan Buice will be arriving on the 12th and staying through the 23rd of May.  Make sure to come by and meet them and come out to The Showroom on May 21st when we screen their film "Four Eyed Monster" www.foureyedmonsters.com....

AndrewM! Thank you Betsy and John for hosting a little going away AIR dinner last night.  And thank you Andrew, Luke and George for helping a damsel in distress and changing my flat tire.  I think Andrew showed my flat who is boss!

Thanks AiRs for a great year and have fun in Greensboro!  We will miss you.

Seder Thank you Arielle for hosting such a wonderful  Seder on Sunday night.  This was the first one that I have ever been to and all I can say is that the food was amazing, everyone had a great time, and we all learned a lot.  It was really a nice way to celebrate with friends.  There has been a lot of celebrating lately.  Earth Day activities on Saturday were outrageous!  We spent the day at Hatcher Garden for their annual event.  It was really nice to be outside with a bunch of other community minded folks.  They even had a pet llama!  Saturday night was the Trashion Show and live music by the Antibodies.  Check out photos on the HUB-BUB flickr site.  There were some amazing outfits including a coat of armor made from pop tops, a funny paper sport coat, fork barretts and a mason jar top necklace...

make day First - Make Day.  Make Day was a big hit (after the am torrential downpour, the sun came out and it was a nice day).  We had a bunch of "makers" spread out around downtown.  Nicholas was screenprinting t-shirts and Derya was knitting.  Rachel helped man the HUB-BUB table and everybody helped eat the Make Day cake.  Thank you Liz Blanchard.  You are a baking queen!  Next we have the Trashion show.  Derya, Rachel and Stephen have gone to Greenville to model Derya's Trashion design for a local tv station.  It should be a great event on Saturday night so I hope you all can be here.  With live music by the Antibodies, a few sculptures from the OSB recycled art contest and lots of Trashion outfits...its guaranteed to be a good night!  And as for the AIRs...
