PharmaSutra

Sounding like a church choir in an ice cream truck driving through thundersnow, PharmaSutra create their own special blend of sonic goodness. Melodies that get stuck in your head, combined with four-part harmonies and driving rhythms, leave listeners feeling as if they’ve gotten their money’s worth.
The members of PharmaSutra have been in a number of local and regional bands including: Halfastronaut, The Edmonds, The Marc Higgins Band, and Out of the Fire to name a few. Their diverse backgrounds and influences combine to create a raw, fresh sound which cannot be described in a band bio that uses nonsensical phrases, run-on sentences, and seemingly endless press quotes to somehow give people a reason to come see them play.
PharmaSutra’s satirical narrations on everyday life provide a new perspective on otherwise mundane situation.

Stanfield Gray

A Spartanburg native, Stanfield Gray is a Charleston-based songwriter whose influences run from Nick Lowe to Bill Monroe and back around to REM. A free-range thinker inspired by his kids, his wife and the peculiarities of the world around him, Gray has shared the stage with Will Hoge, Johnny Paycheck, Danielle Howle, Pharma Sutra and many more. His recordings to date include two full-length CDs with the Rock
band, Grayman, and a self-titled EP with Oxford, Mississippi-based band, Rooster. Currently, he performs with The BBQ BROS, an original four-piece Jangle Rock band. A thousand watts of energy and optimism,
Gray is a lively stage performer. Visit www.bbqband.com for tour dates and further information.
