It's crunch time! The AiR Exit Show is in less than 2 weeks. Make sure to come out to The Showroom on Tuesday March 25th from 7-9 pm to see the great work that our AiRs have been working on. If you can't be there for the entire opening, then try to be there at 8 so you can catch Rachel's reading. Speaking of Rachel's reading, you might want to a little reading yourself of Still Home; an anthology of poems by Spartanburg poets that was compiled and edited by our very own writer-in-res. Rachel has worked really hard on this anthology all year and it is B-eautiful! Swing by HUB-BUB on March 20th at 4:30 for the Still Home book launch...

Like I said...it's crunch time around here. The AiRs are finishing up projects, working on a press release, editing artist statements, and gearing up to hang their show. In spite of all of that...Arielle is working full speed on College Street Team stuff with their first newsletter scheduled to hit the press in the next few days. Derya is still hosting sit and knits. Nicholas is helping with a bike-art/art-bike installation. And Rachel is editing recordings for the web component of Still Home. We're conducting a handful of AiR telephone interviews for the 08/09 class. I'm headed to New Smyrna Beach, Florida for an artist-in-residence leadership conference on Monday. We'll be making final decisions for next years AiRs at the end of March. Stay tuned. Lots happenin'!!! I'll try to update you next week from the beach...
