Our AIRs have been real troopers to help get Hub-Bub ready for this upcoming Saturday's Art Mart and (good) Junk Sale. The warehouse where we've been storing collected "junk" for the past six months is hot and the AIRs have spent many an afternoon rummaging through kitchenware, bags of clothing, boxes of children's toys, electronics, sporting goods, etc. What would we do without them? They'll be a big help on Saturday too when you (the general public) is here buying new (old) cool stuff for your dorm rooms and houses. When they're not selling junk, they'll be selling their own art among the 20+ other artists who are signed up to be here on Saturday. Sooo - come on by this Saturday from 10am-2pm to support local artists and support hub-culture!

Lots going on besides Art Mart. Arielle had an educational weekend in Tennessee where she learned the language of whitewater boating. Her sketchook of anagrams is just about done and her cocoon is in the early development stage. Derya made the most beautiful artist-in-residence brochure you ever did see. Thank you Derya! And her knitting class on Tuesday night was a hit. Make sure to put the next one on your schedule for September 18th. Nicholas is painting away as always. He and Derya left the burg for a quick trip to Greenville over the weekend. Rachel has been writing. She's working on the Poetry Outloud project as well as her own Fulbright application. How this girl can do all that writing and still take a mini-roadtrip to Nebraska is beyond me. I didn't even know there was such a thing as a mini-roadtrip to Nebraska.
See ya'll on Saturday
