The exhibit consists of work with an environmental theme and art utilizing environmentally-friendly methods or materials with a particularly stong focus on recycling. The purpose of the exhibit is to inform, engage and entertain.

Hub-Bub Artist-In-Residence Leah Brown is showing the installation, ìAmericaî, which is a carry-over from the AIR exit show. The installation consists of multiples of common objects, many of which are recycled. The installation is also a set for the series of plays titled 365 Days/365 Plays, a natioal theatre production being performed here at the Showroom by Wofford theatre students.
Adam Farcus is from Bloomington, IL. His collages are titled ìWalksî and consist of man-made objects that he collects. Adam says, ìI am collecting icons from my environment and translation them into a visual language that defines my space in my environment.
Tatiana Ginsberg, from Santa Barbara, CA, is exhibiting ì100 Daysî. Her work consists of 100 hand-made paper cups made in the shape of Japanese matcha bowls. The cups are made from leftover scraps of paper
ìMost of us purchase beverages daily, perhaps numerous times a day, drink them, and dispose of the container. Is there anything we take for granted more than a paper cup?î Ginsberg says.
Roman Jaster, a graphic artist from Valencia, CA, will show a sampling of shopping bags that have been over-printed with the graphic message, ìPlease Re-Use Meî. The bags are a sample of the ones created and used in an interventionist project in his California hometown. During the project the bags were given out to customers at a local supermarket. Roman says that he has ìexplored how graphic design can be employed as a medium for social interventionî.
Eric Saline is an American artist originally from Massachusetts and now living in Gothenburg, Sweden. Eric uses recycled paper to create large translucent panels with stained-glasslike qualities. Jaster says, ìI am most concerned with conveying visual movement through surface activity, luminosity, and the drama and atmosphere that can be created by shadowsî.
Sayaka Suzuki, originally from Japan, now resides in Richmond, Virginia.
Sayaka says, ìMy method to my work derives from my deep concern with the societal function and how that in turn, affects the environment as a wholeî. She is exhibiting a portion of her installation work ì907: 5 cows, 46 turkeys, 20 pigs, 29 sheep, 780 chickens, 2 geese, 18 ducks, and 7 rabbitsî. The work utilizes recycled fabric.
Robert Urban, originally from Wisconsin, now resides in Spartanburg and teaches art at Dorman High School. Urban uses layering, glazing and stenciling, embedding images and occasionally using found objects. ìMost of my inspiration comes from my daily life and routine and as I observe our interaction within the natural worldî, Robert says.
