This week's AIR Update is a shout out to Derya for providing both potluck and fun this past Saturday night at the Showroom.  The evening began with a nice spread that included everything from tuna casserole, sweet potato burritos and veggie quesadillas, tabouleh and edamame soucatash, to pickled eggs (they are actually pink and have the consistency of a rubber squash ball..see photo), to a beautiful three-layer coconut cake sprinkled with walnuts, and a strawberry cake covered in a forest of fresh strawberries and iced with cream cheese and powdered sugar.  Mmmmm...MM.  After eating ourselves silly, we relocated to the couches to enjoy a short Russian animation about a beautiful cow that falls in love with an ugly crocodile.  She was truly lovely and he was scaley and green but they shared a love for flowers and leaves.  And it was beautiful.  This was a short film that set the tone for the feature presentation...GHOSTBUSTERS.  I haven't smiled for two hours straight in a long time.  What a great movie!  Thank you Derya for putting this night together.  More potluck and fun?  Yes please.

Besides "potluck and fun", it was kinda quiet around here over the weekend.  Arielle, Derya, and I received our sketchbooks for the fear exhibit which will be in Decatur, Georgia on October 27th.  We're filling these little books with images of things that scare us...Arielle is setting the pace...see her blog.  Derya is planning more fun events...knitting circles, potluck nights, etc.  Get on this girl's distribution list if you can.  Nicholas continues to help with limited edition Hub-Bub t-shirt designs...we're very excited to get our hands on these puppies and you should be too!  Rachel is interviewing and editing as always.  She'll be at Spartan High on Friday to present on "The Secret Life of Bees".  Check it out if you can.

Welp...that's it for now.  Thanks for stopping by and see you next Wednesday with another riveting post.
