What was once an old Nash Rambler car dealership is now the front line of creative culture in downtown Spartanburg, S.C. HUB-BUB offers more than 100 nights of art and entertainment a year in the Showroom Gallery and Performance Hall. Check out our event calendar for concerts, film, progressive art exhibits, experimental theatre, workshops, community forums and more.
HUB-BUB also hosts one of the nation's most innovative Artist-in-Residence programs. Emerging young artists come to us from all over the country to live upstairs, make their art, and interact with Spartanburg in inventive ways. Follow their experiences with this site's weekly AIR Journal and the four artists' blogs.
HUB-BUB is a program of HubCulture, a non-profit organization building community through dynamic art and ideas.

Sunday night's basketball free throw competition during the
college faculty cookout at HUB-BUB seemed to be momentarily inspirational to a
lot of HUB-BUB folk. Following the nail
biting competition between Mirko, Chuck and Will (congrats Mirko); an intense
game of horse began. With over 15
players, this game promised to be an epic event of Olympic proportions. However, excitement quickly fizzled as players
shot air ball after air ball. Clearly,
the goal and court is not to regulation.
Thanks Jonas for pulling that thing together. And thanks to all college faculty/staff and
HUB-BUB folks who came out last night to enjoy an end of summer cookout. A good time was had by all.
